Technology - Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Due to the many complex features below the surface of the ground, an expansive array of methods and techniques of detecting these features must be available to the Geotec Surveys surveyors.

It is not always the case that a technology will 'see' all you are looking for, so combining many methods together, as well as using the surveyors experience, skill and supporting data, all add up to a clear view of what is hidden in beneath a site.

Below are just some of the current technologies we have in our arsenal, but this is not an exhaustive list. Furthermore, we have detailed some of the applications that these technologies may be used for, though Geotec Surveys unique approach allows us to deploy many of these techniques to gain results that may not be obvious to other users of this equipment.

All the technologies we utilise are manufactured by a number of companies and, although the basic principle of the technology will be the same, the actual results gained from each manufacturer can be quite different. This is why Geotec Surveys have built up such an array of systems, so that the best tool can be used in any specific environment to gain the highest definition of response. It would be easy to believe that one manufacturer's system will do it all, but in practice that is not the case, so having alternative systems to use is a must.
