GEOTEC Surveys Ltd are pleased to announce the recruitment of 2 trainee surveyors and a sales assistant to support the continued growth that GEOTEC have experienced in the last 9 months.

With an eye for statistical analysis and a keen mathematician, Ross Catt has joined the team as a trainee surveyor from a Tree Surgeon company where he worked as a labourer once finishing his A-Levels.
Ross was attracted to GEOTEC Surveys as it offered a good blend of on-site and office based work which constantly provides new and varying challenges. Ross also indicated that the opportunity to work in different parts of the UK, as well as abroad, were further factors which enticed him.
Ross has since said that “GEOTEC Surveying gives me a huge amount of job satisfaction as it enables me to see a project from the very beginning, from when we first turn up on site, to when the completed drawings are sent to client”.
Ross Greenfield has also joined as trainee surveyor, following his previous employment as a Maintenance Assistant at a prestigious, all-girls boarding school, in Surrey, where he held a key role in the day to day maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
Ross said that joining GEOTEC gave him an opportunity to learn new and exciting skills and, with an interest in design, compiling drawings of the surveyed sites was hugely appealing and the opportunity to be trained on AutoCAD software, a key driver in swapping his previous role, for that, of a Geotec Surveyor.
Both newcomers will undertake various levels of health and safety training and be educated in both the onsite technical equipment and AutoCAD elements of the job. They will be working closely with Matt White, our Surveyor Manager, and a number of the other senior surveyors in developing their existing skills to become leading Utility Mapping Surveyors.
Tom Skilleter has also been appointed to the sales team, where he will be working with Min Hasan and Julian Sperling in liaising with both new clients and previous associates, as well as researching case studies and news stories for our website.
Tom has previously spent the last 8 years working within the NHS Management Consultancy market, dealing with NHS Bodies and Private Developers, where he built up long term relationships enabling the procurement of a number of new primary care facilities.
With a Business Management Foundation Degree, Tom was keen to undertake a new challenge, which uses his experience, skills and qualifications in a new and exciting environment.
The addition of 3 new members of personnel increases the capacity of GEOTEC, enabling the company to meet the ever increasing demands of its clients and set the pace of the underground mapping industry in allowing GEOTEC the opportunity to develop the high quality service that is offered to our clients.
